As you know, the cases of COVID are on the rise again in this area. While Pennsylvania as a whole is on track to progress from yellow to green phase next week, the mandate to socially distance will be unchanged. All businesses must determine how best to "re-open" while minimizing risk of exposure to their employees and their customers; this is a challenge that veterinary offices face as well.
A reminder about curb-side care:
1. When arriving for an appointment, please text the main number (717-464-3424) and note your pet's name and the parking spot number where you are parked. If you are unable to text, please call the office directly (717-464-3424). If you do not have access to a cell phone, please knock on the exit door and we will assist you. Please let us know if you have any children waiting - we have goodie bags with coloring books and crayons that we can bring to your car.
2. Clients arriving to pick-up food, medications, or to drop off samples are asked to call the office directly, please do not send a text. Payment will be taken over the phone and your items will be brought directly to your vehicle. Despite the use of text messaging for check-in, we are still experiencing a high call volume.We ask that if at all possible, please utilize the text option when arriving for an appointment, this decreases the number of incoming calls significantly. We are saddened that some of our clients have experienced difficulty when calling into the office. Please know that our phones are working, but there are many times during the day that all lines are in use. We are so appreciative of your patience and we are doing our best to assist every caller as quickly as possible.
We have experienced some very warm days, and we expect them to increase as we head further into summer. You will notice that a tent has been placed under one of our trees, as well as some chairs. Our hope is that you will find this shaded area more relaxing than being confined to your car, so please make yourself comfortable. We also want to ensure that our clients and patients stay hydrated. Beginning next week, you will find a small refrigerator outside of our entrance, it will be stocked with water bottles for our clients as they wait. You will also find water bowls and jugs of water for your furry friends - please help yourselves.
