I graduated from Manor College in 2014 from their Veterinary Technician program and received my certification as a Veterinary Technician. I've been at Willow Run since 2014 where the majority of my time is spent in surgery and in the hospital area which I really enjoy. My husband and I have 2 dogs, Willie and Margo, and two cats, Sully and Flip, all of which I acquired by working here. We love doing anything outdoors, kayaking, hiking with our dogs and are involved at our church every weekend.
Our entire staff works together as a team caring for all of our patients and clients. We depend upon each other for success. Each member of our practice is expected to actively promote a team atmosphere. With effective communication, consideration, and respect, we work to accomplish our shared goals. Our clients are essential members of our Healthcare Team; by including them in discussions, decisions, treatment and activity plans for their pets, we are able to achieve compliance and offer excellence in patient support and care.
Whether your pet is coming to see us for a regular check-up or because of an illness, you can rest assured that your pet is receiving the best veterinary care and attention. Feel free to contact any of our team members with any questions you may have.
Dr. John (Jack) A. Reese, DVM
Dr. Reese grew up in Littlestown, PA and studied biology and mathematics at The College of William and Mary. He went on to The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2012. For the past five years, he worked at Mountain View Veterinary Services in Shippensburg- a mixed animal practice with about 40% large animal and 60% small animal cases. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, photography, golf, and spending time with his wife Tricia and their two dogs, a Jack Russell Terrier and German Shorthair Pointer.
Kim joined the team at Willow Run in April of 2018; she has been working in the field of veterinary medicine for over 20 years. Her career path has been very diverse, starting in private practice and expanding into Emergency/Critical Care Nursing, Internal Medicine and Oncology. Kim left the hospital setting for a year and a half while working in the pharmaceutical industry monitoring the safety and efficacy of many well-known veterinary drugs; her work included drafting reports for submission to both the FDA and USDA. As you can probably guess, Kim missed being part of the traditional hospital team and working directly with clients and their pets. She returned to the clinic environment and became a Practice Manager in 2014.
Kim fell in love with animals as a little girl and describes her husband as being “incredibly patient and understanding” despite her constant insistence that they have plenty of room for more pets (they don’t). They have 2 daughters that are entirely too smart for their own good, and Kim is thrilled that they share the same passion for animals. Her home would not be complete without Gwendalyn, her precious Pit Bull, 2 mixed breed dogs named Holly and Nicholas, and their very stubborn cat Mathilda.
Michelle has been a part of the amazing team at Willow Run since 1996! She graduated from Harcum college and has worked as a certified veterinary technician here at the clinic for 15 years. Her role is now Office Manager and she spends time at the front desk as a Client Service Representative, At home, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jared, and their two teenage daughters. They have two dogs, Caroline the Great Dane and Maverick the golden retriever, and two guinea pigs Bugsy and Hippo. Michelle’s family loves to travel and they spend lots of time attending their kids sporting events. Michelle loves her job at Willow Run and the opportunity to meet new people and their pets.
Kimmy was born and raised in Southern Lancaster County and is a graduate of Solanco High School. She joined Willow Run Veterinary Clinic in June of 2009. Kimmy attended The University of Wyoming and competed on the Rodeo Team in barrel racing, pole bending, and goat tying. She later attended York Technical Institute and graduated with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. In her spare time, Kimmy enjoys horseback riding, traveling, crafts, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She has 3 dogs: Riley - a Border Collie, Tre a three-legged Yellow Labrador, and Walter - a cleft palate French Bulldog. She also has 2 quarter horses named Roman and Buckshot, a miniature donkey named Lyle, 4 kitties and a few chickens! Kimmy and her husband Bryan are expecting their first child in May 2019.
